Introduction to the movie Novocaine 2025

An exciting romantic beginning that foretells of a good story, about a romantic man who cannot communicate with his lover, then she takes the first step towards him, and a relationship begins between them, then his lover is suddenly kidnapped while they are working, then some comedy comes that mixes with the movie entering the violent action turn, then we see a surprise almost in the middle of the movie that confuses our expectations, while the hero of the movie continues to chase his lover’s kidnappers with some good action shots, which contain good and smart decisions from the hero.

Novocaine gets rid of two thieves who kidnapped his girlfriend, learns the location of the third kidnapper, and heads to his location, only to discover a surprise that confused us as viewers: his girlfriend works with this gang of thieves, and that the third kidnapper is her brother.

When the third kidnapper tries to kill Novocaine after a fight with him, his girlfriend intervenes to save him. The police arrive, too. The kidnapper escapes in an ambulance, dumped on Novocaine, causing him unbelievable injuries. When Novocaine realizes what's happening, he attacks the third kidnapper, and a brief battle ensues between them. Meanwhile, his girlfriend chases him in a police car with his online friend and a policewoman injured by the kidnapper. Fortunately, she arrives in time and saves NovocaineShe then gets into a fight with her brother, who almost kills her if it weren't for Novocaine's intervention, which saves her.

The movie ends, and all that remains are the happy moments between Novocaine and his lover, Sherry, who is imprisoned for participating in the crime with the gang, but Novocaine will never abandon her.

Movie hiccups

The director was too hasty in introducing action sequences into the movie, as Sherry was still in her first encounter with Novocaine, and her goal was to learn the bank vault numbers. Her relationship with Novocaine hadn't developed enough for him to reveal this to her, but he decided to move on to the robbery very quickly.

Also, the movie should have delayed the surprise a bit, but he was also too hasty in revealing the truth about Sherry's involvement with the gang.

Also, the appearance of Novocaine's online friend, who he had used when he was trapped in one of the traps, at the home of one of the gang members, whom Novocaine killed in a restaurant after chasing him, was very quick. The police then appeared. The police should have appeared first, as they were certainly quicker to identify the person killed in the restaurant.

Also, his friend's initial intention to avoid getting involved with him, then simply deciding to intervene to save him and get involved with him, given the presumption of their online friendship, isn't that a bit strange?

Novocaine's unique condition after feeling pain doesn't prevent him from losing consciousness. Despite taking many blows, being injured in several places, and bleeding profusely, he was surprisingly resilient.

Sherry's decision to abandon her brother for her supposed lover, Novocaine, is plausible, but shooting her brother and attempting to kill him twice or more simply raised a suspicious question: Is she doing this out of love, or is she doing it because of her late awakening to the truth? I found the answer to be neither. A brother is a valued human being, no matter how bad, and no one would dare commit such an act against him.

Positives of the movie

Novocaine's decisions are characterized by intelligence and quick wit, despite the difficult situations he finds himself in, which could confuse any living creature, and he finds no alternative but to surrender.

His insistence on reclaiming his beloved Sherry himself is admirable and captivating, stirring emotions in the movie for viewers, despite the gravity of the situation and his lack of abilities to help him do so, except for his unique inability to feel pain.

His conversation with the police officer about how difficult it is to find the right person to love, his long-awaited love, and his willingness to fight to save his beloved himself, not waiting for or relying on others, was the height of romance, in my humble opinion.

My expectations about his friend who he asked to help him save him were strange. I thought he would be physically strong, a giant, or experienced in street fighting, but when he first appeared, I laughed. However, it was a logical choice so as not to steal the spotlight from the hero.

Some of the comedic moments in the movie are really good and funny, and they make me wish the movie was more inclined towards that genre, with distinctive action moments, like Jackie Chan movies, for example.

Impression of the movie

It's a good movie, characterized by excitement at many times, and the acting is somewhat good. However, it's flawed by its hasty introduction of action and suspense, in order to satisfy the viewer and quickly attract them. It should have been more patient and wise in revealing important points and supporting Sherry's position in a way that doesn't contradict logic, but is satisfying as an action movie with some good emotion.

The hero's intelligent decisions are also distinctive in Novocaine, and his determination to move forward for the sake of his beloved is beautiful and extremely romantic.

It's not a dazzling or profound movie, to be sure, but it's a satisfying one-time viewing.
