Locked 2025 Movie Story

Locked 2025 is a thriller starring Bill Skarsgard and Anthony Hopkins. It's based on psychological suspense, with good dialogue, acting, and excellent directing and cinematography.

It revolves around Eddie (Bill Skarsgard), who is struggling with financial problems and is turned off by everyone he knows when he asks for help. He finds no other option but to steal to solve his financial crisis. When the opportunity arises, he finds himself trapped in an unconventional trap set by the person trying to rob him, William (Anthony Hopkins). A unique dialogue takes place between them, delving into the question of right and wrong and touching on many social and psychological issues. Eddie seeks to escape from William's clutches, while William seeks to prove his point and take revenge on the criminal in Eddie's image.

A good movie with some important issues that should be discussed and highlighted. There are also some negatives in it that we will present in detail.

Quick start

Eddie broke into William's car, hoping to find something valuable to sell. Finding nothing, he tried to open the door, but was surprised to find it locked, along with the rest of the car's exits. He checked every corner of the car and found a small metal lever, but it also didn't work. The car was completely impenetrable, even with all forms of communication cut off.

The car's computer was working, and an incoming call was displayed on its screen. Eddie completely ignored it, while his arm was injured and bleeding. His attempts to force his way out had overwhelmed him. As fear began to grip him, he decided to answer the caller, only to discover that it was William, the car's owner. It was a strange and unexpected occurrence. While Eddie was cursing and swearing at William, William was trying to have a conversation with Eddie, whose only concern at the time was getting out of this damned car. But William had a different perspective.

Eddie tried again to take a violent approach to this situation, shooting at the car window, but the bullet ricocheted off and hit his leg, causing him to bleed again. While he was suffering from his injuries, he screamed at William to save him, get him out of the car, or call the police. William ignored him, shocking him with electric currents through the seats, due to the cursing and swearing that had never left his lips since he began this conversation. Until Eddie suddenly lost consciousness.

William happened to be a doctor, so he bandaged Eddie's bleeding wounds while he was unconscious. When Eddie regained consciousness that night, he found bandages on his arm and leg. He then tried to search for water and food, but found very little of it, until the next morning, when William called.

The conversation between William and Eddie

The conversation between William and Eddie took place for the second time, but this time it was more in-depth. William's reasons and motives for what he did were revealed, and Eddie tried to justify his position on breaking into William's car. Strangely, both of their logics were truly remarkable, but with William's exaggeration in applying his strict punishment to Eddie, it became not just a case of retribution against criminals like Eddie, but a blatant psychological disorder.

Although Eddie deserved the intimidation he suffered as a punishment for robbing others, the extent of his crime wasn't that great. He hadn't robbed anyone by force, for example, even though he owned a weapon. He also had a last ditch hope of avoiding theft, as evidenced by the lottery tickets he bought. He didn't finish scratching them off because, deep down, he believed in his inherent bad luck. If he were a real criminal, he wouldn't have bought the lottery tickets in the first place.

The motives behind any act a person commits must be taken into account when imposing punishment against them. Habitual criminality may also be a determining factor. Locked didn't provide conclusive evidence that Eddie was a habitual criminal, but it did provide evidence that William was guilty. His car had been broken into several times before Eddie's. They may have met the same fate as Eddie's. The film left this point ambiguous, without a clear and straightforward answer. However, it's a strong indication of William's danger and his criminality toward those he tried to rob.

I was struck by the fact that Eddie is incredibly unlucky. He attracts all kinds of misfortune, which is truly sad in this world. Others may be the cause of this by refusing to help him or cooperating, as happened with Eddie. Or he may be the cause of their disbelief in his ability to change things in his life.

William also has great bad luck. Despite his success in life and his wealth, he lost his daughter to habitual criminals, was diagnosed with fatal cancer, and his car was broken into several times. All of this is enough to turn any normal man into a psychopath.

We also saw William talking about always choosing the right thing in his life and being successful as a result. However, his choice to punish criminals himself, in a way that made it seem like a recreational game for him, including torturing criminals in such a cruel and inhumane manner, was not the right choice this time. Rather, it was evidence of a psychological disorder resulting from the harsh events he had experienced in his life.

The ending of the film was certainly uplifting, but it didn't seem fair to me. Eddie should have lost something, just as William lost his life. In my opinion, that would have seemed more convincing and appropriate for both of them to commit a crime against each other, regardless of the size, magnitude, or nature of the crime.

Finally, the movie Locked is considered a good movie in its excitement, a little slow in the development of its events, but it has points that are worth looking into and contemplating. The acting and cinematography are very good, and the directing is just good. The story is somewhat good. The final result was not satisfactory for me, but it is a movie that can be watched only once.
