Superman 2025
Another new version of the superhero Superman, full of vitality and exciting action scenes, but it definitely lacks the spirit or the captivating idea that might inspire you and make you applaud it.
Another new version of the superhero Superman, full of vitality and exciting action scenes, but it certainly lacks the spirit or captivating idea that could captivate you and make you applaud.
There is no doubt that Superman's character is captivating to anyone who loves the image of a hero defending humanity and risking everything to save them. However, any work of art featuring Superman must be crafted smoothly, without shallow ideas.
Yes, I found the idea superficial and attempting to be profound, without any element that makes it so.
Where is the logic in having a superhero who can easily destroy the Earth and everything on it, trying to deceive everyone with his good intentions so he can dominate the Earth and establish a lineage that will ultimately own everything?
I don't deny that questioning his intentions is a valid point, but it lacks depth or logical support.
Thoughts I had after watching Superman 2025.
The excellence of Superman 2025 was limited, embodied by the actor who played the role in a distinctive way and brought a human dimension to Superman through his sense of complete belonging to the people of Earth. But was this in the interest of this particular version?
In my opinion, it wasn't entirely balanced, as it nearly damaged the image of the superhero, who works for the belief in doing good and the right thing, not just for the sake of belonging.
Superman 2025 swings between proving his loyalty and supposed humanity, and being a non-human with hidden, evil plans for Earth, aiming to create a special offspring of his kind that would let him fully control the planet, based on a message from his original parents informing him of this.
When the authenticity of his original parents' message is understood, a scene of his Earthly parents is included, confirming something positive: that humans make their own decisions and actions, and no one can dictate what they will be or do.
The portrayal of Superman's humanity and his strange idealism in his decisions and reactions was highly exaggerated through several scenes, such as the one with the oversized creature Superman was worried about dying, the scene where Lex Luthor is knocked down by Superman's dog, and Superman telling him to stop.
The naive idea that Superman's intervention to save a country from invasion is motivated by personal ulterior motives is unfounded. I see no logical reason to believe such a claim. What would he gain by stopping the invasion?
I uncovered the power of Lex Luthor's genius system when his girlfriend, Eve, showed photos on her phone that reveal all of Lex Luthor's schemes.
The film's focus on depicting Superman as a true human being with superhuman traits from his home planet, but whose genuine connection is with Earth, is simply a way to manipulate the viewer's emotions toward the character of Superman, enhancing the film's overall scope and scale.
The other characters vary in their descriptions and roles in Superman 2025, but in my opinion, some of them are completely irrelevant. They just shift the genre from a lone superhero to a team fighting for a single goal. I saw it as a desperate attempt to renew or reduce the boredom of a single fighter.
Lex Luthor's ease in manipulating and infiltrating everything related to Superman did not match the ease with which he was ultimately defeated, simply because he was deprived of the ability to see and lead his followers in the fight against Superman.
My final comment on Superman 2025
The film's action scenes and conflicts are well-done, as are the cinematography and graphics, but overall, they lack genuine creativity.
The film's music remains its most captivating element, and many have long regarded it as a source of inspiration and motivation, even in the simplest parts of life.
The filmmakers tried to add an emotional layer to the film through several points, but they forgot that we're talking about a superhero who commands everyone's emotions with his actions, not an ordinary human with superhuman qualities driven by emotion and motivated by his actions.
Finally, I won't compare the main actors across most versions, but I believe the performances in this version are not better than those in earlier versions, despite the actors' talent and skills.
I think that any future version of Superman must be balanced, logical, and well-studied for an extraterrestrial superhero, making it flow smoothly, like a calm river that suddenly turns into a rushing waterfall. Don't you agree with me on this?
